Friends of Finstock School
Friends of Finstock School (FoFS) are a voluntary team of parents and staff from the Finstock School community whose aim is to help the school provide the best education in a happy environment. FoFS organises fun fundraising events to enhance pupils' school experiences whilst strengthening the school and village community. Successful FoFS events have included the Cornbury 10K run, school discos, ice skating trips, fayres, fêtes and quiz and bingo nights. They also run weekly cake sales and the village 100 Club.
Recent fundraising efforts have enabled FoFS to subsidise school trips and purchase library books, IT resources, a yearly pantomime and a wooden playground gazebo - a wonderful outdoor learning space for the children. FoFS has also funded the training of a Forest School leader and the purchase of a set of iPads for classroom use. All these things offer valuable enrichment to children’s learning at Finstock School.
FoFS fundraising events are publicised on their Facebook page, village noticeboards, in the school newsletter and on the Events page of this website. New members are always welcome - please get in touch via the Facebook page or School Office.
